Thank you Steve for your thoughts. I agree that I like the availability of
buttons rather than the touch screen features. I can use both the flat glass
surface of a touch screen device and the tactile keypad of a traditional device
and prefer the availability of tactile buttons. I do feel that the IPhone and
IPad have some definite advantages for the blind or visually impaired though.
Thanks again for your thoughts and the reminder of the adaptive technology
grant program.

Alicia, I purchased the new stream after I have the old one provided from the
Wolfner program a while back. I have grown to love the old stream and when the
new and improved model came along, had to buy it. I use it for just about
everything although I do have a few of the Apple products. I don’t know why
it’s my go to gadget but it has never failed me for recording lectures, reading
books, NLS, MP3 and also word documents transferred to the unit and now, online
content including NFB newsline. I like the size of the buttons and the layout
as well, maybe because I’m an old guy and still like buttons instead of smooth
glass. Remember that MCB could help with the price if you are eligible for
their grant. Hope this helps.

Thank you Daryl. I have thought about an iphone or an ipad, but I don't have
the funds to support it at this time.
