No, I don't want to run for president of ATI but I do know
someone that does. I didn't know if I needed to submit his name to the
nominating committee or have him nominated from the floor.
He has some inobated ideas that will possibly spark some life back in ATI
and bring the affiliate to the funcitional group it once was. But your
right, it's going to take everybody working together to accomplish that.
One suggestion I have for this year is to have a raffle of an adaptive
technology item. There isn't a lot of ways to generate income into the
affiliate but that might be one way. If the board could meet and come up
with something to raffle at the convention I would be glad to help.
Do you know if our 501 C3 has been kept up along with our annual
registration with the secretary of state?
Also, has anything been done to bring vendors into the exhibit room at the
convention?
I certainly don't want to see the affiliate die and am willing to do
whatever I can to keep it going.

It is crazy the way this will be working this year. The vice President will
not be at convention and it will leave me, Joe Morgan as Secretary and
Barbara Dewberry Treasurer. The way it was done when I was elected
president 2 years ago, nominations were taken from the floor since It is the
president and secretary up for election this year. I know I am not going to
accept another term but I cannot answer for Joe. I have been away in OJT
for the last 6 months and I cannot get any interest to build up our treasury
as well as interest in building our group. I am partly to blame but I am not
all the way to blame. I have asked and tried to get phone conferences and no
response. We get a small group at convention maybe 15 or so but we do not
get the entire roster. Also, this year our treasurer indicated to me we
barely made payment of dues to MCB. So, no door prizes. Normally, ATI
spends up to $300.00 for door prizes and we can't do that this year. Any
ideas, you want the president's position? Gladly I will nominate you? Talk
