Coming soon - KeySoft 9.5!

Now supporting UEB Math to Print

This is the third in a series of weekly introductory videos leading up to
the launch of KeySoft 9.5 for the BrailleNote Apex family of products. This
Snapshot video demonstrates how to read and write math in Unified English
Braille (UEB), and ensure that any braille math will be translated into
readable print for a sighted teacher or colleague.

With the launch of KeySoft 9.4, the BrailleNote Apex became the first
electronic device to support Nemeth braille to print translation in one
tool. As the majority of countries transition to UEB as the official braille
code, it is essential that familiar learning, reading and writing tools are
available to support this process. KeySoft 9.5 brings that familiar support
for users who write math content in UEB.

Play the video

* Write UEB math symbols directly in the Apex's word processor

* Receive multimodal feedback from both speech and braille verifying
that the symbol has been written correctly

* Connect a monitor to the Apex and immediately see print readable
math as it is written in UEB

* Write math assignments in combined UEB and Nemeth braille

* Print math assignments directly from the Apex itself, or convert the
files to Microsoft Word format to provide to a sighted classroom teacher

And to assist in the general learning of the Unified English Braille Code,
KeySoft's word processor includes the UEB Symbol Selector.

* If you forget how to write a specific UEB symbol, simply look it up
by category in the symbol selector by pressing backspace with dots 3-5

* Hear and feel the dots that make up that symbol so you will remember
how to write it next time

* Press enter on the desired symbol and KeySoft will insert it into
your document for you

* Use the symbol selector to identify both math or non-math related
UEB symbols while you learn the braille code

explaining KeySoft 9.5's new UEB math to print translation.

KeySoft 9.5 will be available as a free download in May 2015 for all
BrailleNote and VoiceNote users. Stay tuned for other upcoming KeySoft 9.5
Snapshot videos demonstrating more exciting features.
