Hi Sue, I use my OCR program to read PDF's. In my case it is Open Book. I
open the document, and when I get the "Empty Document message," I send it to
printer. I then tab through the printer list until I find Freedom Printer.
When I enter that as my chosen printer, it opens the document as if I had
scanned it in to Open Book. I can then read it there, save it to an
accessible document to edit or whatever. Hope this helps. I am not using the
same operating system you are though. I am still using Windows 7 with JAWS
17. Good luck. Check to see if Freedom Scientific has any webinars for
Windows 10 up yet. Signing up for one might help. Also ask Hadley if they
have anything to offer yet. I am afraid I am anything but a power user and
only learn what I need to use because I don't have a linier mind. Good luck.

Warm Regards,

DeAnna Quietwater Noriega

Subject: [ATI] terrible epereincewithjawsx

Just got off the phone with a lady at jaws and she was very snippy.

I spent 4 hours Sunday afternoon on the jaws topics trying to learn the new
key strokes with jaws 17 and windows10 long with how to do the ocr and
other things I do not understand such as scripts and exactly how the
invisible cursor and the virtual buffer works and what it actually does for
me as far as being able to navigate the web or pdf as a sighted person does.

It was very confusing. She kept saying, thisispart of training. We
donothelp you with that.

So, is there an online course I can take that will help me learn what I need
to do to work fast on a daily basis with jaws and windows 10?

Also, is there a down load out there that will convert my pdf to word
documents. Ihave never been able to get adobie reader to do it
successfully.

thanks for any help anyone can give me.
