Here is the link to the 2016 PowerUp conference sessions and schedule. The
link for each session takes you to a description for that session and
information on the presenters, or if you just scroll down past the entire
list of sessions the descriptions are on the same page. There will be a key
note and endnote speaker, and the governor's disability luncheon is included
at the end of the conference. From the main conference site there are links
to view information on the agenda and keynote & endnote speakers, as well as
the list of exhibitors that will be participating. I do find it
disappointing that there is not a full dedicated session on Android
accessibility for blind and visually impaired users. Maybe they didn’t feel
they had anyone who was prepared to create such a session. I know Steve and
Ruthie could have done it easily.

Amy, it's basically what you said. It's a conference that deals with all
kinds of assistive technology...not just blindness related, but devices,
software, and other technology for all disabilities. I have no idea of the
schedule-they have as yet to publish it, as far as I know.

What is this conference about? I get that it's about assistive technology,
but could one of you give more details, such as what type of speakers,
demonstrations, will be held?
Thanks.

Hi, Scott. Thanks. I applied for a scholarship already, I'm hoping I get it.
It's the only way I'd be able to attend.

Below my signature is the text of this announcement. I am hoping to attend
this assistive technology conference in April. I thought I'd share in case
anyone else is interested. I'm not sure how much registration is. If I
attend, I will share all of the information I learn from the conference with
all of you.
