Accessibility in general is always somewhat behind in these matters. Take Talkback or Brailleback in the Android world, or the accessible phones there? It's just part of life, and not necessarily such a big deal as Android matures. And sometimes, being totally up-to-date can be less than wonderful. Several of my iPhone using friends are very unhappy with the latest IOS.

The point to be considered here is the flexibility, freedom and utility that a person can have, if they are a good braille user, with a braille notetaker. I have been utterly amazed how blind people have been willing to disable themselves over the past 10-15 years because technologically, they wanted to be like everybody else. Sure, it's a great goal, but really doesn't exist. I think that a person should try to use every appropriate tool at their disposal

I did take a look at the specs, it's actually using a version of android that is 2 major releases behind the current version, in the world of computers, that's pretty outdated.

Hi Mike:

I completely disagree with you on this matter. There is nothing more enabling
than a good, braille notetaker.

Since main stream devices are now accessible out of the box, really, there is no point in paying extra for a device like this. More than likely, the same experience could be had with mainstream products such as a regular android tablet and perhaps a braille display.
