I was listening to a podcast which had a demonstration of the Echo. They commented that listeners were commenting that their Echos were turning on every time the host or the person doing the demonstration said the word Alexa. I also heard that there was a tv show showing how to order a pizza with Alexa and lots of pizzas got ordered by people watching the show.John

Subject: Re: [ATI] Alexa and a sort of funny story Hi, Late last fall (some of you may have heard the story), a little girl in Texas, about 6, told Alexa to order a $300 or so dollhouse and a bunch of candy (I think). The parents wondered why they received the dollhouse and learned their daughter ordered it. Amazon has had added a pin or something so a small child can't just tell Alexa to order items. Jeanne
