If you just touch a key and pick up your finger does it type the letter.
This can be adjusted with the rotor when the keyboard is active on your
screen. I think this is called touch typing but I am not sure any more. It
is my preferred method.
It may have been turned on by accident. Try the settings with the rooter.

Hello everyone,

 

Using the keyboard on my iPhone 6, when typing a message or type a word in a
search box, etc., each time I select a letter, double tap, it adds the
letter a couple of times, plus might add another letter close to the one I
selected. When I try to delete the text, more letters are added. I think
something is set wrong in my keyboard, but I can't figure out how to correct
it.  Does anyone know how I can fix this problem? I appreciate any help you
can pass along!
