Uh, do you mean POST, to create a new entry? Now that I think of it,
I don't think it really matters for this discussion whether it's POST
or PUT.
Note the absence of the myns:stuff element. The client can do this
all day long and receive 200 Ok every time and never get that
namespaced
element to 'stick' in the entry. Is this the situation you are
worried about?
I think we can agree that the server you describe is engaging in bad
practice. Are we discussing whether it's worthwhile putting language
in the spec explicitly to discourage it? -Tim
