My yum.log file shows me that no new myth-packages have been installed since
November 2nd (the time I installed myth for the first time). 

When I look at http://atrpms.net/dist/fc4/mythtv/ I can't see any newer
version of myth for amd64 here either. Although for i386 new packages was
posted November 11th. Have someone forgot to upload 64-bits packages or does
the i386 version solve some problems unrelated to this, so new 64-bits
packages was not necessary?

Perhaps you already have the latest and the issue is still there. The
hope was that bug #627 might fix #660, but that wasn't guaranteed.
