for a long time i was having problems with the system hanging. something in the kernel. no syslog entries. occasional kernel panic messages.
after a long period of research, i think i'd basically proved to myself that it was ivtv when i was recording in myth. at least that's about the only time that it seemed to happen. then about 2-3 weeks ago, the ivtv update came in and suddenly i had my normal stable system back. yesterday(?) i installed the 126 build of ivtv and suddenly i have the problem again -- everytime that myth records the system stops. i've gone back to the 125 build to see if that restores stability again. currently using: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# grep ivtv /tmp/rpm.list ivtv-0.10.0-125.fc6.at Sun Mar 4 09:45:12 2007 ivtv-devel-0.10.0-125.fc6.at Sun Mar 4 09:45:11 2007 ivtv-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2911.fc6-0.10.0-125.fc6.at Sun Mar 4 09:45:05 2007 ivtv-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2911.6.4.fc6-0.10.1-126.fc6.at Sat Mar 3 11:46:44 2007 ivtv-kmdl-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6-0.10.1-126.fc6.at Sat Mar 3 10:07:56 2007 ivtv-firmware-20070217-13.at Thu Mar 1 19:03:47 2007 ivtv-kmdl-2.6.18-1.2869.fc6-0.8.2-123.fc6.at Thu Jan 18 19:02:48 2007 perl-Video-ivtv-0.13-8.fc6.at Thu Jan 18 10:32:26 2007 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# uname -a Linux junior 2.6.19-1.2911.6.4.fc6 #1 SMP Sat Feb 24 14:39:04 EST 2007 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux but, i can't find the 125 build for this kernel. axel, is there a possibility of obtaining the 125 build for this kernel? thanks! i'm all ears for any advice anyone can provide. john -- cleverly disguised as a responsible adult. _______________________________________________ atrpms-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.atrpms.net/mailman/listinfo/atrpms-users
