I think you haven't installed nvidia-graphics (w/o any further digits
in the name). That is the package that picks the latest kmdl after it
has been tested.

rpm -q nvidia-graphics

If that doesn't exist, then please try

yum install nvidia-graphics
yum update

and see whether the issue has been solved.


Let me take a ride in this thread.

In my case I have another problem. It updates everything fine to 9755,
but when I reboot, it always loads the previous module (9746). Unless I
remove
it manually (rpm - e ... 9746 kmdl) I can not start X.

I did not delve into this problem yet, but maybe you have a hint, Axel?
