When I run yum update yum tries to install kernel i686 2.6.24.3-34.fc8 updates
This pulls in corresponding kmdls for lirc and alsa alsa-kmdl-2.6.24.3-34.fc8 i686 1.0.16-65.fc8 atrpms 1.5 M lirc-kmdl-2.6.24.3-34.fc8 i686 0.8.3-74_cvs20080314.fc8 atrpms 81 k However, it does not pull in a new nvidia-graphics kernel version and I have not let the update proceed for fear of getting a kernel installed that has not the correct kmdls. I do have the 2.6.24.3-12 kernel and kmdl installed. Should the version number between the kmdl and the kernel match exactly, or will any 2.6.24.3 kmdl work with the 2.6.24.3-34 kernel? I have also tried yum install nvidia-graphics and yum install nvidia-graphics169.12 to see if moving to a new version of nvidia-graphics would help. Both of these fail with the error Error: Missing Dependency: nvidia-graphics169.12-kmdl-1:169.12-96.fc8 is needed by package nvidia-graphics169.12 I currently have the following nvidia packages installed. 08:14:07(598)~>rpm -qa nvidia* nvidia-graphics100.14.19-libs-100.14.19-92.fc8 nvidia-graphics-devices-1.0-6.fc8 nvidia-graphics100.14.19-100.14.19-92.fc8 nvidia-graphics100.14.19-kmdl-2.6.24.3-12.fc8-100.14.19-92.fc8 nvidia-graphics-helpers-0.0.22-23.fc8 nvidia-graphics100.14.19-kmdl-2.6.23.15-137.fc8-100.14.19-92.fc8 and the following kernels 08:15:44(602)~>rpm -qa kernel* kernel-2.6.23.14-115.fc8 kernel-2.6.23.15-137.fc8 kernel-headers-2.6.24.3-12.fc8 kernel-2.6.23.14-107.fc8 kernel-2.6.24.3-12.fc8 -- Russell Brown \*/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ atrpms-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.atrpms.net/mailman/listinfo/atrpms-users
