I have a dell d820 with the nVidia G72M GeForce GO 7400 and am still running F8.

I just tried to install the nvidia-graphics173.14.05 drivers.
I ran into problems with
input/output read error on device /dev/nvidia0

So I removed that and installed the nvidia-graphics169.12, but that also had
problems with
the libglx not being able to load.

So I nuked them and installed the nvidia-graphics100.14.19 and it works great.

Each of the above (at least on the nvidia website) supports the GeForce 7400,
but...

I'm very leery now about installing F9 if the nvidia-graphics173.14.05 does not
work with
my hardware.

So, back to my question, which driver should I really be using? and I guess, how to get to the new level. Do I yum erase <old level> the yum install <new level>, or just yum install <new level> and leave old one?

Thanks.
