           Well, I upgraded to f9, and finally got the X11 back.

           I have loaded:

           It is not nvidia, but nv.  When I try to run the nvidia I get:

        It seems that you do not have any nvidia device:

        ls -al /dev/nvidia*


        Since you upgrade (not a clean install, as I understood),

        I would check xorg packages and /etc/X11/xorg.conf

        Maybe there is something from F8 in there.

        Have you ever used nvidia installer?

    xorg-x11-drv-cyrix-1.1.0-5.fc8.i386

    Never used the nvidia installer since I clean installed F8.

However neither irqpoll or irqfixup worked.

I'll just stay with nouveau for now.

Can't wait to get back to compiz.
