The patches do apply, otherwise the build system would have never
produced binary rpms. Try rpmbuild --rebuild on the src.rpm to verify.

It is the src.rpm that produced the binary rpms that you can
download. Have you tested the binary rpms? From what you write I guess
the audioencoder patch is probably in there already.
