Hi, I upgraded to myth 0.23 and I found some awkward features. Mythweb now wants that videos are in the Storage Group. No problem, I created a Storage Group pointing to /home/videos, which in turn contains links to all my video directories:
[cascavel:~/videos] dir /home/videos total 36 drwxr-xr-x. 3 roma 4096 2010-04-29 06:14 . drwxr-xr-x. 22 root 4096 2010-04-29 05:42 .. lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root 17 2010-04-29 06:14 videos1 -> /mnt/dados/videos lrwxrwxrwx. 1 roma 18 2010-04-29 05:44 videos2 -> /mnt/dados/videos2 lrwxrwxrwx. 1 roma 18 2009-07-11 07:17 videos3 -> /mnt/dados2/videos drwxr-xr-x. 9 roma 4096 2010-04-29 05:48 videosCG Then, I had to create a symbolic link in mythweb/data: [cascavel:~/html/mythweb/data] dir total 12 drwxrwxr-x. 3 apache 4096 2010-04-29 05:53 . drwxrwxr-x. 11 apache 4096 2010-04-27 22:14 .. drwxr-xr-x. 2 apache 4096 2009-11-28 17:09 tv_icons lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root 12 2010-04-29 05:53 video -> /home/videos lrwxrwxrwx. 1 apache 28 2010-04-28 16:49 video_covers -> /home/roma/.mythtv/MythVideo The problem is that only the Internal player plays videos in the Storage Group, and it does not display subtitles. If I add a local storage (outside the Storage group), I can play its videos with mplayer (and the subtitles are back), but mythweb can not. Furthermore, since myth 0.23 is not supporting pulse audio (at least for me, it does not work) I have to use this command to trigger mplayer inside myth: [cascavel:~/html/mythweb/data] more ~/bin/mythplayer #!/bin/sh /home/roma/bin/mplayertv "$1" -zoom -ao alsa:device=hw=0.0 Also, IMDB is no longer supported because of license issues, and I would like to know how to retrieve a movie metada. Either I am loosing the point here, and I am over complicating my set up, or myth is the one which is getting over complicated ... Does anyone have a better solution? Thanks. -- Paulo Roma Cavalcanti LCG - UFRJ
