Let me clarify. With clear QAM it's quite possible one physical tuner
could multirec record from, say, ABC and PBS, depending on how the
cable company arranges things. Since ABC and PBS won't share the same
ATSC frequency, for us ATSC people the only thing multirec is useful
for is to, say, record from the main PBS HD channel and one of the SD
subchannels. In that sense #8429, while equally useful for all
multirec users, benefits ATSC users more.
