I am still chasing this issue as well where my mplayer will not play
with command : mplayer -fs -zoom -quiet -vo vdpau -vc ffh264vdpau . But
had a bit of a breakthrough today . When I tried playing the movie last
time it was as mythtv user and playback failed , but today I
accidentally played it as root user , and it played OK . So the
functionality works , but for some reason mythtv user has problems with
it . Checked all mplayer related files and all have permissions set at
755 ( they are all owned by root , as I installed mplayer as root ) .
Any other thoughts appreciated .
