I've upgraded to F12 MythTV 0.24 and by in large the upgrade has succeeded

So I'm trying to get a "backtrace" output .
I've installed the debug-info package but I'm still not getting any output.
I assume the debug-info will also work for the frontend?
Do I need to start program a different way to get backtrace list?
thanks
This does not really answer your question on how to get a backtrace
(and I am sure Jean-Yves and the rest of the developers would
appreciate if you did); however, I had this same problem when I
upgraded. After downgrading and trying another upgrade, I found that
I needed to remove the ALSA:xxxx string in the database, leaving that
field blank. When I did that, I could scan for audio devices. After
you get a backtrace, if you are impatient to wait for a fix, I would
suggest trying that.
I after noticing the segfault was LibGL from the kernel log I upgraded Nvidia driver and
problem was fixed.
mythbox kernel: mythfrontend[26318]: segfault at 139214 ip 07e9798e sp
a32fa0d0 error 7 in libGL.so.260.19.12[7e13000+a8000]
