Hi: I make a lot of DVD video .iso files, which I usually test-play before burning. I usually use vlc because until the most recent ATrpms build the MythTV internal DVD player has, in my experience, struggled with DVDs produced by MythArchive and vlc has not had similar problems.

In the past few weeks, though, the screen has occasionally locked up shortly after starting playback in vlc; audible disk activity - which didn't sound like just recording - has continued but I have usually thought it best to cut system power and reboot. I don't think I have any useful log files. Googling 'vlc lockup' with a 1 month limit finds several reports that may be similar. I haven't checked to see if this is new or perhaps more frequent than before. This is just a 'heads up' - if I've got the terminology right :-)

Fedora 13 x86_64 with recent ATrpms updates, nVidia 260.19.26 with GeForce 7500 LE, not VDPAU capable.
