I just tried this yesterday for the exact same reason :)
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the internal drive to mount as
read-write, it kept mounting read-only. I read that you first need to
access the drive under OS X to turn off journalling to allow
read/write mounting. So atm I'm kinda stuck.

Any ideas anyone ?
