I am only interested in loading the Mythtv Frontend Binary to the existing OS. Is that not possible? Is that not what they are doing here?

I was hoping to run Myth off a usb dirve and leave the >internals untouched. Hi, currently atvusb-creator only handles installing 3rd party plugings into the AppleTV OS. Installing an Linux based OS to a USB flash drive is a bit more complex and there are many options such as which host OS is installed. The easiest method is to use atvusb-creator to create a USB flash drive, then remove the contents of the PATCHSTICK partition. This then a plain jane atv-bootloader boot. Then you can follow the atv-bootloader guides to install the linux os of your choice and then add mythtv to that. I suggest using Ubuntu 8.04 or Mythbuntu 8.04.
