I have tried the mythbox+XBMC combo on a mac as well as on an ATV, and while it is getting there, I personally would not replace a native myth frontend with that combo. Things work, but just not the same as they do on an actual frontend - I wish I could quantify it better for you..
I ended up loading my ATVs with knoppmyth (I was already using knoppmyth on the backend) and am so pleased with the result that I am using them on all the TVs and turning off the PC frontends I had. I have been running XBMC for a long time on a couple of original xboxes, and am very impressed with where it has evolved to. If I did not use the backend for capturing content I would prolly just go with XBMC and some network storage. Just my personal $0.02 :) On Mar 24, 1:12 pm, "Scott D.
