I gather from this suggestion that the ATV wifi interface is mini-PCI-
E? And there are Nvidia 840 cards available for the PCI-E
interface? That would be cool. Would you point be to a discussion
of this, if you have the link handy?

I've got a few steps to go through before trying video card
experiments, though.

I stepped up my interest because there was a small lot of the 2 Gb
memory chips on Ebay. I performed the easy check of memory expansion
feasibility. Unfortunately, the answer was no-information. I picked
up the lot on Ebay anyway, giving the Apple designers the benefit of
the doubt. If it had been clear that the needed pins were not
connected, then I would have passed on the memory chips.

So, now I own (have not received) ten of the 2 Gb chips, which is (in
theory) enough to modify two ATVs to 1 GB of RAM. Given the number of
other projects in the queue and the state of my workbench, it will be
several more months before I have gather more information.
