I am using my atv with Mythbuntu. I have it working pretty much as I want it with the exception of the remote. 6 buttons are just not enough. I need the number keys, an 'i' etc. I know how to configure lirc, but the bottom line is that I need about 20 buttons, 10 for 0-9 and about 10 others to get all of the functions I use. I have two of the apple remotes. I tried using my Harmony H688 remote and learning the 6 codes of the first remote, then holding menu/play and then learning a second 6 codes. I did the same thing with a second apple remote. So I thought I should have 24 codes. Unfortunately, afer doing this, I run irw and some of the buttons I learned don't register and others appear to be duplicates. I may try it a second time.I am willing to get a USB IR receiver if that is the easier way. Surely someone has a useful remote setup. Please share. I can learn 6 keys and duplicate the apple remote with any of my learning remotes. That really isn't helpful. I need more than 6 (or 12) buttons. Thanks.
