Thanks for being my guinea pig :) A friend suspected memory usage for .22 would be a lot higher- after a reboot, how much memory is used? (can be seen w/ "top"), while in top, hit uppercase "M", it will sort by mem use. if you could show mem used, swapped, etc.
I don't know if that many network errors is a big issue- do you know what the interface looked like when you were running .21? when you set the clocks, do they stick? some nvidia versions dont allow the settings listed in some docs. I validate w/ nvclock -i this works for me: nvidia-settings -a GPUOverclockingState=1 nvidia-settings -a GPU2DClockFreqs=200,760 what version nvidia drivers are you using? -Phil ----- Original Message ---- From: iitywygms <[email protected]> To: atv-bootloader <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, November 10, 2009 7:33:44 PM Subject: [atv-bootloader] mythtv does not perform well since mythtv .22 upgrade Okay guys. I had to upgrade my system to mythtv .22 because of issues with the on my other frontends epg. Anyway, long story short. My atv had to be upgraded because .21 will not work with a .22 backend. Ever since the upgrade, mythtv will not perform like it use to. It takes 15/20 seconds for live tv to start, once it starts, the audio and video get out of sync. I have been trouble shooting this for days and cant find a good solution. Here is part of the mythfrontend.log I get never ending prebuffering pauses. 2009-11-10 19:18:08.070 VideoOutputXv: ProcessFrameXvMC: Tried to reuse frame b$ 2009-11-10 19:18:08.070 VideoOutputXv: ProcessFrameXvMC: Called without frame 2009-11-10 19:18:08.104 VideoOutputXv: ProcessFrameXvMC: Tried to reuse frame b$ 2009-11-10 19:18:08.104 VideoOutputXv: ProcessFrameXvMC: Called without frame 2009-11-10 19:18:08.340 WriteAudio: buffer underrun 2009-11-10 19:18:08.412 WriteAudio: buffer underrun 2009-11-10 19:18:08.610 NVP(0): prebuffering pause 2009-11-10 19:18:08.613 WriteAudio: buffer underrun 2009-11-10 19:18:08.709 NVP(0): prebuffering pause 2009-11-10 19:18:08.759 NVP(0): prebuffering pause 2009-11-10 19:18:08.798 NVP(0): prebuffering pause 2009-11-10 19:18:08.832 NVP(0): prebuffering pause ifconfig shows errors. eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:17:f2:f8:16:b5 inet addr:192.168.2.6 Bcast:192.168.2.255 Mask: 255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::217:f2ff:fef8:16b5/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:39496 errors:12 dropped:24 overruns:12 frame:0 TX packets:27270 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:4 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:43602787 (43.6 MB) TX bytes:4767380 (4.7 MB) Interrupt:20 Base address:0x1000 Anyone have any ideas? Please let me know if I can offer any more info. Running Ubuntu 9.04 latest update with mythtv .22 on apple tv. I have done the following Mythbuntu Hardy 1.Update the boot disk MBR with gptsync 2.nvidia, audio and IR fixes 3.Install wireless driver One other note, I can never get the nvidia thing correct. I always have to go in and manually adjust the clock settings after each reboot. -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/atv-bootloader?hl=en -- To post to this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/atv-bootloader?hl=en
