I am wondering this exact same thing!!! As to jeffphil's question, I want to do a fresh install rather than upgrading from something I know how to load because I want to use the ext4 file systems, which are not supported before 10.04 (I believe).
I would like to install from the netboot version, so I can start with just a kernel and openssh so that I can build it from the ground up, Xserver and all... I basically want to be able to do what this person did: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW-TO_install_a_Miminal_Ubuntu_and_XBMC_with_sound_over_HDMI_on_the_AppleTV#Create_the_bootable_USB_flash_drive but I can't figure out the proper "kexec" command to run... Any help would be much appreciated! ~Dave On Nov 7, 10:11 pm, jeffphil <[email protected]> wrote: > Why not just upgrade in place, rather than from a CD image?
