I did a grub2 patch but that won't help you in this case. The grub2 patch is
just for parsing the grub2 config file.

You can get by any problems with grub 2 by creating a menu.lst file with the
proper entries (3-4 lines I believe). You should be able to find those
entries on this list, if not I have them at home and can post them. But if
your kexec is happening with the proper options then it would not help in
that case.
