Emacs 22.1 adds a new prefix key M-g and

M-g g and M-g M-g run goto-line.
M-g n and M-g M-n run next-error (like C-x `).
M-g p and M-g M-p run previous-error.

        (next-error, previous-error): Add M-g M-n/n and M-g M-p/p bindings.

Would be nice - especially on a Swiss German keyboard with "`" being a
dead key - to see this keybinding in AUCTeX.
