I've just tried out the last revision of RefTeX and I still get the
same result I described before.
(reftex-format-special "eq:foo" "~\\eqref{%s}" "\\pageref")
still returns for me
"~\\eqref{eq:foo}"
The value of `reftex-typekey-to-format-alist' is
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
((" " . "~\\ref{%s}")
("n" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("f" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("i" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("s" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("t" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("l" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("N" . "~\\ref{%s}")
("e" . "~\\eqref{%s}"))
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
Am I missing something?
Bye,
Mosè
