Thanks for your contribution, but I'm not sure \newtheorem* is defined
inside the LaTeX kernel. I know it is defined in "amsthm" package and
commit
02768a7 Some improvements to amsthm style file.
added \newtheorem* to `TeX-auto-add-regexp' and the appropriate fontification.
