Isn't it about time to plan a new release? It seems that there's been quite
a bit of development since the last one.
I tend to agree. During last weeks AUCTeX development slowed down, so
this could be a good time to release.

Sounds good to me, but I haven't been following the development in
detail. So I don't know if there are problems that need to be addressed
first.
