I stumbled across it because it didn't work with commands like \mathrm.
Ok, in this case "C-c C-f C-r" is the way to go. But I think "C-c RET
mathrm" should behave equivalent. But marking foo and "C-c RET mathrm"
gives me \mathrmfoo.
