Hi, while it used to work nicely, I'm now facing an issue when I open my `.dtx` files, loaded with some specific local variables.
# Context - GNU Emacs 27.1 (build 2, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.8). - AUCTeX 13.0.3. # Steps to reproduce to see the issue 1. emacs -Q & 2. C-x C-e on each line of: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- (package-initialize) (setq TeX-auto-save t) (setq TeX-parse-self t) --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- 1. Open e.g. the following `.dtx` file: ┌──── │ http://mirrors.ctan.org/info/dtxtut/skeleton.dtx └──── 2. Add the following local variables to the bottom of this file: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- %%% Local Variables: %%% mode: tex %%% eval: (doctex-mode) %%% TeX-command-default: "TeX" %%% TeX-master: t %%% End: --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- 5. Save and kill the buffer, and reopen this file. 6. You'll end up with the following error: ┌──── │ File local-variables error: (error Lisp nesting exceeds ‘max-lisp-eval-depth’) └──── Thanks for any help! -- Denis
