Hi Ikumi, Thanks for your answer. I wasn't editing Japanese documents; I don't even know Japanese. I don't know why tex-jp.el was loaded. I sometimes run examples fro tex.stackexchange.com, maybe one of these triggered it. Anyway your answer was very helpful.
