I am using the same buffers as often, as I can.
4GB isn't required of free RAM, it's 4GB of whole RAM in computer. smile
But, in SEAL, volume and panorama is changed on buffer, not on a stream.
So, FMOD is better sound library, but, for commercial use, paid.
The trailer of this game was recording by virtual cable. We created this cutscene using SEAL library to show sounds as in the game. CPU Usage was (Intel Core I7 3,1GHz) 10% and RAM usage of this process 700MB, so little. The bigger problem is on maps.
