Re: Prometheus: The Eternal Wars
Hi PrometheusMOO
On the audio client, I'm afraid my question would be "why?"
If your just talking about effectively the same game, but with a dedicated client to play and key presses instead of text commands, then I don't really see the bennifit. If your talking about something like realtime combat based on sound or some audio game like elements that would not be possible in a mud client, then perhaps (although I'd check whether custom scripts for mushclient or Vipmud would doo what you want).
The plane fact is there are already very good and accessible clients for windows, and I'm told Linux and Ios have reasonable ones too, although mac is a little lacking here. Muds are acessible anyway with only a little game tweaking, so why go to all the work creating a custom client? what would be the bennifit?
I'd personally suggest either you create some scripts for the clients with sounds, or better still, work on the ga me itself to add even more fun stuff, new locations, descriptions, activities, items, all the awesome things that make a mud good, just as you have in the past.
