If you still want to use the analogue connectors, you can buy very cheap 3.5 mm splitters.  These very small devices don't have any extra wires attached like some, they are a single small unit.  They have 2 3.5mm sockets on one end and a 3.5 mm plug on the other, the plug simply goes into your headset jack on your laptop and you should be fine from there by plugging both analogue connectors into the empty sockets.
