If you're recording software supports loopback, as in recording the sound of your speakers or headphones into audio, then use headphones, and going to the sound settings in the control panel, select your microphone, press properties on it, and go to The listen tab, check the listings of this device check box, press reply, and you should hear yourself. It is a bit distracting, and it's a little hard to get used to at first, but this is what I use. If you don't have loopback, I don't know what you can do.
My computer apparently has stereo mix on it, but every time I try to record with stereo mix settings on, it gives me errors. And I don't really know what the point of stereo mix was in the first place anyway, so that is why I use this.
