Re: Connecting developers and game testers
Hi moshverhavik.
Hmmm I think this should go in general or developers myself but while its here anyway.
I'd also like to test this stuff.
Pay rates.
It really depends what it is.
Usually I get the game for free and with the 1 man band blind devs thats usually enough or a reduced price for said game I guess.
However if said devs/ companies have the means to pay and wish to make this thing a perminant thing, I guess I could nagotiate a rate as I am really a self employed tester.
And sound tech and system admin to some extent.
About 5 years ago there were plenty of blind devs, government research programs, website tests, school and university experiments, you name it I got it.
The market has changed sadly from that time.
Most of the contracts I had with the blind indie devs are either finnished, I left or they just went away.
Bar 1 major research university project, which is really a twice a year if that thing, just about if
not all test positions are either on hold, waiting for work or gone.
Out of those the 5 I have, 2 are free.
1 is processing and the rest are either in perminant standbuy or gone entirely.
My origional idea was to in fact get a chain of projects while still helping the little guy.
Which I will add I will still do as well as investing my time and if needed cash in small startups.
This chaining is not happening, so if it is possible to get payed I'll take it but I will discuss that at the time if I will eventually get whatever.
my email is sm.ever...@gmail.com
I myself test for pc only as its what I have.
I have win7 but unless you need anything special I have basically every library loaded that can be and commen library you can think of.
But as other users have put out, thanks for the info but we
Have no clue what all those games may be, who we are testing for etc.
