The color system basically causes a stat boost depending on what the 3 values are.
Colors are split up into 3 values - Red, green, and blue. They range from 00 to FF.
Battle workflow if you select fight is basically each character you select Attack/Magic/Item/Paint. For the first three you select your option and then select a target if the current character can target (some statuses and some characters can't target). You'll hear a selection noise once a full selection has been confirmed.
After all character actions have been selected, the characters and enemies will attack in order of speed (after modifiers).
You only need to use the directional keys and z for select and x for back for most of the game (outside of sorting item lists and a few other minor functions), the other keys are just for accessing specific information.
How should I make this more clear to the player?
