I rather don't mind the critical hits. You can put a little bit of luck in the game without neutralizing entire strategies with it I think. If I can kill you with one hit, and it's guaranteed not to miss, and I'm fast enough to start first, your critical hit potential is going to help you nada. On the other hand, if you get the chance to hit me simply because I missed because the random number generator said so, and you get a critical hit on me because the random number generator said so, and it kills me, yes, that is very irritating. It's different if I were horrified or paralyzed or something. Then I know exactly why I missed or didn't attack. It's still random, but not unexpected, and there's something that can be done about it. There's nothing that can be done about simply missing. You can't plan for it, you can't form a strategy against it. It's also why I don't typically use moves like shred or pummel or tribeam. No t only can they miss completely, but there's a chance that they land only once, which is worse than a strong hit from something ineffective imo. No, I wouldn't want to do pvp under those conditions. Not even a little bit. Yes, that's me using an ineffective damage type against you because it doesn't miss, and a little bit of damage is better than none damage. No thanks. Lol.
