Re: a problem and some questions.

For iOS 9 and earlier,

double tap and hold on an app icon to enter moving apps mode, VO will announce "moving app" when the mode is entered. You'll know you are in editing mode because when you move to an app's icon, VO will say the app's name followed by "is editing". Find the app you want to delete, then double tap it, you'll get a prompt confirming that you want to delete the app. To exit editing mode, press the home button.

In iOS 10, since moving icons around is now part of a pop up menu that appears when you do the double tap and hold, the option to delete the app may be in that menu as well.

I'm still running iOS 9, so I can't be certain about iOS 10.
