I reccommend you try GNU/Linux in a virtual machine.
In this way, you don't need to uninstall Windows from your computer or
touch your hard drive's partitions.
One more benefit of this is that you can install all the distributions that
you want and if you don't like one you can just delete a file and it's gone.
Personally, I use Trisquel (http://trisquel.info/). It's good and it
comes with Orca (the screen reader) out-of-the-box.
