@Simba, I didnt' look at any teasers or anything before seeing the film, but to be honest that's not an excuse anyway. Even the most renowned action films you can think of, indiana jones, Terminator, robo cop (or at least the first one), had some sort of point along side their action, rather than just throwing huge amounts of action at the screen and missing off characters, plot, logic, and indeed telling a good story.
hell, films like saving private ryan are set during the war and especially exist to show! good characters and such to give the action a sense of purpose.
So, even if billed as a war film, that's not an excuse.
As I said, it's not that I'm against action sequences, it's just when action sequences take over the hole story and you lose everything else that gives the story point.
