Re: The Road To Rage I: Fires Of War -- First Person Shooter
I'd like to get a server up and running, for private use by a couple of friends and I. However, I can't seem to get it to actually connect. I have a strong suspicion that it's some sort of router issue, but I've followed the instructions for port forwarding with my router model to the letter, and I'm still having problems connecting.
The reason I think it may be a router issue is because I also tried forwarding the port needed for using NVDA Remote, and, while it does successfully retrieve my external IP address, it gives an error that says that the port isn't forwarded, even though I've already done that. I feel like I'm missing something glaringly obvious here. Does anyone have any tips as to where I can start looking for the problem? I'm pretty sure that my server config file, and the maps.list, are ok. If not for the NVDA Remote issue tipping me off that something wasn't right, I probably would have chalked it up to an er ror on my part building one of those two files. As it stands, I'm not sure what to do from here.
When I ran the server2110.exe file, I did allow access to it via my firewall. It's just Windows firewall, nothing fancy, and I'm currently using Nod32 antivirus. I'm also trying to run this server using Windows 10.
Does anyone have any ideas?
