sorry to revive this, I just needed to explain something.
recently, I've just figured out a way how to play previous chapter of an episode without deleting your saved games. here's what you can do :
in the main menu, press the square button to bring up the save slots screen. when it opens, you can press either the up and down arrows to select which save slot that you want, and the left or right arrows to select a previously played chapter of an episode. to confirm it, press the X button, and then go back to the main menu by pressing the circle button.
when you select play, and press X when the episode screen comes up, you'll be instantly directed to the chapter that you've just selected in one save state.
