Re: Shadowrun rp, gauging interest

TT is even better, to be honest. We could use that. Shadowrun is a tabletop rpg like dungeons and dragons, but in an other setting. The gameworld is 21st century modern today, but with a few notable twists. First, according to game history, on the 24th of December, in 2011, the awakening happened, the world awakened, meaning that magic resurfaced. Around 10 percent of Normal humans did undergo a process called goblinization, which means that they changed into other races, thus elves, dwarves, orks, and trolls reappeared on Earth, along some variants of these races, and other fantasy creatures like dragons. Then megacorporations emerged, and nowadays they control the earth more or less. Technology developed, and what before was just prosthetics became cyberware, things which you get implanted into your body and they make you stronger, quicker, make your eyes see in the infrared spectrum, and so many others which i won't list only if you ask, i could ramble on and on. So what are you in this universe? You are a shadowrunner, a guy who is in the shadows, doing illegitimate work which the corps or individual people ask them to do for nuyen and reputation. Nuyen is the worldwide currency now. These jobs are called shadowruns, and they can be anything like breaking into Shiavase INC's databanks in the matrix, the successor of the today's internet and retrieving some juicy data about research which the Johnson, a common term for these jobgivers wants. Or maybe you're required to deliver a vial of dragonblood to an alchemist, seem's simple, right? Yea, untill you notice five squads of the Japanese Yakuza trailing behind you and your buddies wanting the stuff for themselves. How did they figure it out that you have it? Maybe your jobgiver double crossed you, or they have a poverful decker on their team. Right, we're down to an other topic. In the game you can create any type of character that you want, but there are a lot of archetypes which you can select from, including street samuray, a guy who outfits himself or herself with the most expensive, top line cyberware, guns and other weapons, and becomes a killing machine, a decker, the hacker of today, who connects with the matrix with his trusty cyberdeck, stealing data from huge corps, and selling it to the highest bidder, or helping his team of shadowrunners by cracking an electronic door of the mentioned Shiavase INC from the matrix and letting his heavy gun wielding friends to break in without shooting a single bullet, the rigger, a person who controls drones or cars from his rigdeck with his mind from a distance, thus allowing him to effectively direct an army of drones upon a rival shadowrunner team, or on the most poor gang of Seattle who decided to rob him. Or, at least, tried to rob him.

Okay, i guess that was enough for the introduction, sorry for ranting away, i'm a huge fan of shadowrun and it's history and the universe.
