I don't view having to train yourself to learn menu positions and use poorly implemented sound cues as playable. Sure, you may be able to play 20% of the game, but there's a lot you're missing out on.
I applaud those who have enough patience to do this, but it's not worth it in my view if I have to spend forever learning how to do a simple task that everyone else can pick up immediately. It's time these games and their developers made a little more effort to enhance the experience for those of us with nonfunctional eyeballs. I bet you if these developers personally knew someone who was blind, their accessibility tune would change completely.
